Steve DeOssie joined Gary Tanguay and Mike Felger on Sports Tonight to talk Patriots.

Tangauy thinks the Patriots can go 6-2 over the first eight games, losing to the Saints and possibly to the Dolphins.

"Having the Saints at home is a big advantage, the Saints are absolutely a much better team in the Dome, they can light it up. But the fact is 6-2 at the halfway point, I'll take that because we all know that the Patriots are very good late in the season."

But now they have to win without one of their best defensive players and captain Vince Wilfork. Can they?

"I believe that they'll miss his leadership. I believe that they'll miss just the sheer number of reps that he takes. They're thin at that position anyway. We saw that Tommy Kelly was a bit gassed in the third quarter this last weekend. So they will miss him, but they're going to make up for it with scheme, with personnel groups, with rotating guys in, and maybe they'll pick somebody out that can help out one way or the other.
