As you probably know by now, Tom E. Curran thinks the Patriots' offense is more at fault than the defensive backfield for Sunday's loss; he said so on Patriots' Postgame Live Sunday, then went into more detail in post on CSNNE.com. On Monday night on SportsNet Central, he told Trenni Kusnierek how he sees the Pats' secondary:
"They are what they are, which is a collection of special-teamers and gunners who the Patriots overrated on draft day or in player acquisition. They said, 'Look, this is a four-down player. We can get a lot out of him.' But when it comes right down to it, they haven't spent on guys who are good on downs one through three, specifically third."
