Things got interesting in the second half for the New England Patriots, as they saw a game slip right through their hands.
Mike Giardi and Tom E. Curran talked about the penalty in overtime that gave the New York Jets an extra life on SportsNet Central.
“Fifty-five yarder, if the Patriots called that on the sidelines, it’s a coaching mistake,” Curran said.
The penalty in overtime overshadowed Rob Gronkowski’s first game of the 2013 seasons.
“I think Rob Gronkowski had an okay game for his return,” Curran said. “Obviously, early in the game, he made a profound effect. As the game wore along, I think there was a pass from Brady that was laser in that Gronk would normally catch. There was another one he missed in the lights. Overall, he’s the best player on the field aside from Tom Brady.”
