The amount of injuries to key players is piling up for the New England Patriots.

The defense has been particularly hit hard with injuries, as Vince Wilfork and Jerod Mayo are out for the season, while Aqib Talib is battling a hip injury.

Tom E. Curran discussed on Quick Slants what he thought of the injury mess.

“They have been resilient, they have been smart, they have been one of the best defenses in football,” Curran said. “But now, they have hit critical mass with their injuries and two of those guys ain’t coming back.”

Curran thinks even though this Patriots team is resilient, they won’t be able to overcome all these injuries.

“This New England Patriots team is resilient, and I’m telling you, a lot of teams shoot themselves in the foot over the course of an NFL season,” Curran said. “So, I’m not counting the Patriots out. But I think they’re screwed.”
