Danny Amendola, who was estimated to miss 2-6 weeks due to a groin injury, was spotted at Patriots’ practice this week.

Many wondered why he was out there practicing with his injury, while others thought he might return sooner than expected.

Tom E. Curran talked about Amendola practicing on Quick Slants.

“Danny Amendola’s groin hurts, but last weekend we hear about torn adductors, sports hernias, surgeries, that he was seeking second and third opinions,” Curran said. “And then Monday, during the media portion of practice, he looked like your Nana coming out of the octagon. But since then he has gotten better.

“I have been told Amendola is cleared to work with the team at his own comfort level. You do what you can, and as we saw against Buffalo, Amendola might do more than he can. And that’s why it’s a good reason to make sure he is not playing this Sunday, maybe next Sunday. He is out there because he can be.”
