New England got two players back for Sunday's game against Miami in tight end Michael Hoomanawanui and right tackle Marcus Cannon.
Hoomanawanui hasn't played since suffering a knee injury Week 11. Cannon (ankle) has been sidelined since Week 12; the team has started third-string right tackle Will Svitek in his place.
Tight end D.J. Williams, who was signed after Rob Gronkowski went on injured reserve last week, will sit Sunday afternoon.
The Patriots will be without wide receiver Aaron Dobson for the third straight game. Dobson was listed as questionable after making a return to practice Friday, but was ruled out by the team Saturday night. Fellow rookie receiver Kenbrell Thompkins is inactive for the second-consecutive week with a hip injury.
