Tom Brady turns 36 on Saturday and has looked good in practice, but he relies on who he throws the ball to.
Brady lost his top five targets from last season to various reasons -- surgery, free agency, court -- and, limiting his targets to wide receivers and tight ends, will have 18 people whom he can throw to.
"I really don't have too many favorites. I just like the guys that come in, want to work hard, do the right thing," Brady said. "Those are the guys that are going to end up making the team."
Among Brady's potential new targets include Jake Ballard, Michael Hoomanawanui, Michael Jenkins, Danny Amendola and Aaron Dobson. But in order for Brady and the team to flourish, the Patriots cannot wait around.
"Everyone's got to be on the same page," Brady said. "It's hard to slow down things for just one person. The train's moving at this point."
