Tom Brady has been voted in to nine Pro Bowls, but he hasn't played in the NFL's all-star game since going out to Hawaii following the 2004 season.

The Patriots quarterback once again opted not to play in this year's Pro Bowl, which marked his fifth consecutive selection. The NFL announced that Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith will replace Brady on the roster.

Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib dropped out of the Pro Bowl yesterday after suffering a knee injury against the Broncos in the AFC title game on Sunday.

Kicker Stephen Gostkowski will make the trip for his second career Pro Bowl selection, replacing Denver's Matt Prater. Logan Mankins and Matthew Slater were also selected to play in this year's Pro Bowl.
