What caused Tom Brady to struggle in the second half of last week’s game against the New York Jets and this week in the first half versus the Miami Dolphins?
It is unclear, but some wonder if a hand injury hampered Brady’s play, as he was seen flexing his hand on the sidelines against the Jets, and his hand appeared swollen during today’s game.
After the game, Brady told reporters that there was no need to be concerned over his hand.
“I didn’t know anyone knows what the back of my right hand looks like,” Brady said. “It looks fine to me. It feels good. I’ll be out there next week and you’ll have to worry about that.”
Brady has seen increased pressure around him this season, leading to a high-number of sacks, including three today against Miami, raising concerns about how much punishment he can take.
“It’s football, it’s a contact sport,” Brady said. “You play as hard as you can and you count on the guys next to do to do the same. I feel great. For the eighth week of the year, I feel awesome.”
