So you were at the Kentucky Derby when all of a sudden the 2004 Patriots launched into a celebration like they'd just beaten Donovan McNabb and the Eagles in the Super Bowl, huh?

Strange as it sounds, that's basically what broke out on Saturday night at Churchill Downs.

When Orb crossed the finish line as the 2013 Kentucky Derby winner, Tom Brady -- red bow tie and all -- made a beeline to Orb's connection's box in section 318. Then came Tedy Bruschi. Former Patriots center Dan Koppen wasn't far behind. Hugs abounded.

Check out this video to see just how psyched these guys were to see Orb make his way to the winner's circle.

There's no confirmation as to how Brady and his former teammates are connected to Orb, but it appears as though Brady is friendly with the family of Orb's co-owner Dinny Phipps. Ogden Phipps II, Dinny's son, is the one hugging Brady at the beginning of the video clip as they both scream like giddy little kids.

Winners stick together, it seems.
