FOXBORO -- Save for some light stretching, receiver Josh Boyce did not participate during the media availability portion of Patriots rookie practice for the second consecutive day Saturday.

The third-round pick out of Texas Christian University is still recovering from a broken pinkie toe, which has kept him in sweats and out of rookie minicamp workouts this weekend. After being selected with the 102nd overall pick, he told reporters that he is "day-to-day."

It's believed Boyce broke his toe just before the NFL combine in February. Still, with the injury, he posted a 4.38-second 40-yard dash. He had surgery soon thereafter and was expected to be out of commission for 6-8 weeks.

All other Patriots rookie draft picks and free-agent signings were present for the media availability portion of Saturday's workout. Players wore helmets but no pads.
