FOXBORO -- Josh Boyce was not spotted at the start of New England's Friday workout on the lower grass fields behind Gillette Stadium.
Boyce injured an ankle injury in the second half of Sunday's loss to the Dolphins. If he sits out practice today completely, it will be his third-straight absence this week. He had four catches for 42 yards against Miami.
Starting left tackle Nate Solder, who suffered a head injury last Sunday, returned to practice Thursday and was again present on Friday. Guard Logan Mankins said earlier in the week he's prepared to step in at tackle at necessary, but the team will wait and see on Solder.
Receivers Kenbrell Thompkins (hip) and Aaron Dobson (foot) were also on hand, as both are working their way back to game day action. Dobson hasn't played since Week 12 and Thompkins has been out since Week 13.
The Patriots will travel tomorrow for an evening tilt against the Ravens on Sunday. The team is expected to release a full practice participation and injury report, which includes projected game statuses, around 4 p.m. Friday.
