You can't argue against the Patriots' success over the years. They've been the most successful team over the last decade-plus, and much of that has to do with Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.
But lately, the Patriots have been coming up short. They make the playoffs, get to the AFC Championship (or Super Bowl), and lose.
It seems like they're always just a couple players short. But wouldn't that be Belichick's fault?
Whether it's not going after the big-name free agents, or trading down - or out - of the draft, Belichick almost makes it harder on himself and the team than it needs to be.
It's almost as if he'd rather have the challenge of winning with less as opposed to winning with more.
