FOXBORO -- It was a surprise to see Danny Amendola at Patriots practice Monday. The receiver, who's suffering from torn groin muscles and a possible sports hernia, is expected to be out for a few weeks. He certainly appeared hobbled while working through agility drills at the start of today's session. Though he did some light pass catching, Amendola barely picked up his feet.

The only players not spotted were cornerbacks Aqib Talib and Alfonzo Dennard, and special teams captain Matt Slater.

Talib may have suffered an injury during New England's Thursday night win over the Jets. After the cornerback made a fourth quarter interception, New York center Nick Mangold awkwardly tackled Talib out of bounds and rolled up his left leg. He immediately got up and celebrated the pick but was not seen in the locker room after the game.

Dennard appeared in a Lincoln, Nebraska this morning and was expected to be absent. As for Slater, the captain reportedly broke a bone in his hand Thursday night.
