FOXBORO -- People in New England who wanted to see Jace Amaro play at Gillette Stadium will still get the chance. At least once every regular season.
The pass-catching tight end from Texas Tech was selected by the Jets with the 49th overall pick.
Amaro ran a lot of routes out of the slot for the Red Raiders so he’s not a classic tight end nor, really, a conventional wide receiver. He’ll be an interesting cover for New England when the two teams meet, especially paired with another lanky target, Eric Decker who the Jets picked up in free agency in March.
