FOXBORO -- A certain sect of draft chatter surrounding Buffalo was bubbling about the team taking former Syracuse quarterback Ryan Nassib at No. 8.

Not only did the Bills not take Nassib, they didn't take anybody.

The pick instead went to the St. Louis Rams in a trade. The Rams used it on West Virginia wide receiver Tavon Austin.

Thing is, Buffalo can still probably get Nassib at 16; this year is not the one to chase signal callers in the Top 10. And considering the limited number of picks (six) it had to work with, swapping out No's 8 and 71 for 16, 46, 78, and 222 isn't a bad deal.
