While most of Massachusetts was caught in a storm on Monday, the Sports Tonight crew rained on the parades of a few Boston area sports teams.
Bob Neumeier decided to rain on the parade of Patriots fans' expectations for the defense.
"Brandon Browner is an elite cornerback? No," said Bob Neumeier. "Pump the breaks on that one folks… the Seattle Seahawks didn't want him to start, because he couldn't even crack their starting lineup."
Steve Buckley is raining on the parade of a few close friends of his.
"My special rain on the parade moment is for all my good buddies at Boston College," said Buckley. "I love you all to death, but you are going down August 30th. UMASS football is going to shock the nation, it's going to shock the world. It is going to beat Boston College at Foxoboro, and you heard it here first."
Ron Borges criticized Danny Ainge for giving Avery Bradley $8 million a year.
"Two years from now, people are going to look at that eight million dollars a year to Avery Bradley and say, 'did you lose your mind?' said Borges. "That was nuts. My son has permission to dribble all over the house any time of the dam and night for now on if that guy's worth eight million."
Michael Holley questioned the Bruins after they let Jarome Iginla walk.
"The Bruins had problems scoring against the Montreal Canadiens in the playoffs," said Holley. "What do they do? They lost their leading scorer. In a trade? No, they lost him for nothing.
