Antoine Walker has been waived by the Idaho Stampede for now.
Per a team statement, 35-year old Walker has been waived due to personal reasons. Walker will miss the Stampedes game against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Friday for business obligations in Chicago. He still could re-join the team, though.
Walker appeared in 40 games for the Stampede this season, averaging 9.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. He most recently posted 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists against the Los Angeles D-Fenders on March 17.
Walker played 552 of his 893 NBA career games with the Boston Celtics. His journey was recently documented in a Sports Illustrated article.
FOXBORO -- The Patriots injury report shrunk again on Thursday.
One day after Rob Gronkowski was removed from the injury report, the Patriots were able to take backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo off.
Garoppolo injured his shoulder in a Week 2 win over the Dolphins and then missed the following two games, giving way to rookie third-rounder Jacoby Brissett. He has been limited in practice ever since being driven into the ground by Miami linebacker Kiko Alonso.
