BOSTON -- Terrence Williams wore a pair of red pants to the Boston Celtics game Friday night. They were a slightly different tone than the ones he wore on Tuesday, he pointed out.

These pants were true Louisville Cardinals red.

To say the University of Louisville alum is passionate about his alma mater is an understatement. He previously attested it didn't matter where the Cardinals were seeded -- they could win anywhere, even Australia, and was hyped up in the locker room speaking of Friday's Sweet 16 matchup against the Oregon Ducks.

So when a fan sitting one row from the court wearing a neon yellow Ducks t-shirt held up a sign that read, "QUACK!" during pregame warmups, it caught Williams' attention.

"He saw my shirt and was like, 'C'mon man,'" said 18-year-old Dave Sgroi of Billerica, Ma. "He was cool."

Williams and Sgroi spoke briefly, including a handshake. When Williams walked away, he had made a new fan.

"I love him," said Sgroi. "Did you see his two dunks?"

The Cardinals beat the Ducks, 77-69, to advance to the Elite Eight.
