Doc Rivers has been mum on his future with the Celtics or any team for that matter.

Word recently got out that he's interested in the Clippers job, but a reported deal between the two teams including Rivers fell through.

So where does this leave the Celtics? Nobody seems to know if Rivers will - or should - be back with Boston next season anymore.

The Boston Globe's Bob Ryan joins Mike Felger on Sports Sunday to discuss the latest saga surrounding Rivers and the Celtics, and it's pretty clear Ryan's frustrated by what has happened.

"You properly termed it a soap opera and I'm tired of it, and I love Doc - you know that," Ryan told Felger. "I'm a registered member of the fan club, I never say otherwise, but I don't like what's going on here.

I don't like it because, why did he commit himself last year? Why did he make a big show immediately after the season was over when everybody thought he was going to leave and take a year off and take a deep breath, and watch his kid play, and blah, blah, blah. He professed his fidelity to the Celtics, announces he's going to be here for five years, and he knows it will involve a post-Pierce, post-Garnett rebuilding period. What's happened. I don't know, but to hang them out this long, to drag this out, the draft is coming up, it's just come on make a decision."
