BOSTONThe short-handed Boston Celtics lineup will be even shorter tonight.

Despite Rajon Rondo's desire to play, the C's medical staff has elected to keep him out of tonight's game against the Phoenix Suns.

In addition to Rondo, the Celtics will also be without Keyon Dooling (knee) and Chris Wilcox (calf).

Replacing Rondo in the starting lineup will be Avery Bradley.

The second-year guard, making his first NBA start, will have his hands full against 37-year-old Steve Nash who currently leads the NBA in assists.

Celtics coach Doc Rivers was also considering rookie E'Twaun Moore s a starter in place of Rondo.

"Really, we wanted to surround Avery with the better offensive players," Rivers said. "E'Twaun as far as offensively, runs the team better at the oint position. But defensively, Avery's better. And he has speed; his speed allows him to get to the basket."
