BOSTON - It's a number you never want to see in the loss column: 50.

But unfortunately for this season's Celtics team, it sticks out like a sore thumb.

The Celtics haven't been this bad since the 2006-07 season, when they lost 58 games.

Only one player remains on the roster from that season: Rajon Rondo. But don't expect Rondo to present a list comparing and contrasting the two teams.

“Two different type of teams," Rondo said. "Both had up to 50 losses. I cant really compare the two. It was a long time ago, this is different.”

Rondo was a rookie that season, and Danny Ainge clearly likes what he saw out of him. After all, Rondo, Paul Pierce and the kitchen sink were all that remained after the offseason trade to acquire Kevin Garnett.

Rondo chooses not to remember 2006-07, and you can't really blame him. He's got plenty of better memories to look back on.

“That was eight years ago. You try to put those things, that season, away," Rondo said. "I don’t think much about that season. I think about the following season and they years behind those. I can't really remember '06, just remember I didn’t play a lot.”

The hope is that he'll be able to forget about this season, too, with plenty of better memories set to come in the C's future.
