Hold off on those Omer Asik Celtics jerseys.
The reported negotiations between the Rockets and Celtics appear to be done.
Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reports via Twitter that Houston has ended talks on the Asik trade and plan to keep him for now.
According to Wojnarowski, it's Asik's contract that has teams balking at giving up too much in return for him. Rockets GM Darrly Morey has informed Asik's agent, Arn Tellem, that talks about a trade for Asik have ended. Houston was hoping to make the trade by today, so they could have the option of trading anything they received today before the trade deadline.
Celtics GM Danny Ainge said earlier on Thursday that the Celtics were not close on any trades.
Of course, there's a chance talks pick up again at any moment, as the NBA trade deadline isn't until February.
