Looks like the on-again-off-again deal that would send Doc Rivers to Los Angeles may be officially off.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, Doc Rivers has informed the Los Angeles Clippers that he is no longer a candidate for their coaching vacancy.
As reported by CSNNE.com earlier this week, both sides had to look much closer at adding players to a possible trade in order for it to be approved by the league office - something neither side has showed any desire to do.
Rivers plans to make a decision over the weekend on whether to return to the Celtics for his tenth season in Boston or pursue a position in television.
The Celtics have press conference scheduled for Monday.
Rivers has three years and $21 million left on his contract with the Celtics.
