Remember Reggie, a 90-minute special that first aired at 8 p.m. Sunday on CSNNE, took a look at the life of former Boston Celtic Reggie Lewis 20 years after his death.

Even that large timeframe was not enough to adequately display what Lewis meant to the community that knew him, though.

An extended clip with Celtics VP of Media Relations Jeff Twiss revealed some strong emotions regarding the once prolific scorer.

Twiss noted that Lewis' tragic death was just as sudden and cruel as it seemed at the time.

"It's just one of those situations," Twiss said. "Never in my wildest dreams did I think he would pass away. Never did."

Before Lewis' unfortunate passing, he was the glue that held together the Celtics organization as the 1990s rolled around.

Twiss did not mince words when describing Lewis' attributes as a player.

"You're looking for a versatile player and a player who had great character as we talked about still today to be on the Celtics," Twiss said. "They always look for a kid with great character and I think we had that in Reggie."

Title number 17 may have made its way to Boston in the meantime, but Reggie's legacy will certainly live on much longer than one Larry O'Brien Trophy.
