BOSTON — The Maine Red Claws, the Development League team of the Celtics, have acquired former Brooklyn Net guard Tyshawn Taylor, the team announced on Wednesday.

Taylor, a 6-foot-3 point guard from Kansas, was selected by Portland with the 41st pick in the 2012 NBA draft, with his rights soon traded to Brooklyn.

On Jan. 21, Taylor was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans for cash and the rights to Edin Bavcic. Two days later, the Pelicans waived Taylor.

In 61 games (3 starts), Taylor averaged 2.9 points with the Nets.

While in Brooklyn, Taylor did spend some time with Brooklyn's D-League affiliate, the Springfield Armor.

In 10 games with the Armor, he averaged 21.5 points, 6.8 assists and four rebounds per game.
