The World All-Star Classic has lost some of its shine recently, with some of the NBA's top players opting to not participate.

But there's one perennial all-star - Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett - who, according to his agent, is very much still in the mix.

"He's planning on doing it," his agent, Andy Miller, told CSNNE.com on Wednesday evening.

A commitment from Garnett is huge for tournament organizers who have seen some of the game's top players, pull out recently.

According to ESPN.com, LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul have all pulled out. Other notable stars withdrawing from the World All-Star Classic recently include league MVP Derrick Rose and Russell Westbrook.

The tour is scheduled to begin Sunday in San Juan, Puerto Rico. From there, games are expected to be played in London (Nov. 1 and 3), Cotai, Macau (Nov. 6) and Melbourne, Australia (Nov. 8-9).

In addition to Garnett, other Celtics expected to play include Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo.

According to organizers, other NBA stars who have signed contracts to play include Kobe Bryant (Los Angeles Lakers), Dwight Howard (Orlando Magic), Dwyane Wade (Miami Heat), Chris Bosh (Heat), Kevin Durant (Oklahoma City Thunder), Blake Griffin (Los Angeles Clippers), Kevin Love (Minnesota Timberwolves), Carlos Boozer (Chicago Bulls), Amar'e Stoudemire (New York Knicks), Tyson Chandler (Dallas Mavericks) and Chris Kaman (Clippers).

It is unclear who the league will target as potential replacements for those who have withdrawn.

While the players won't pull down the kind of money they would for an NBA game, several reports indicate that players will receive "six figures to 1 million," with some proceeds going to charity.
