Allen to play vs. Pacers Friday night

BOSTONThe Boston Celtics will have their normal starting five for tonight's game against the Indiana Pacers.Celtics guard Ray Allen told Comcast SportsNet's Kyle Draper that he will play tonight.Allen addressed the media prior to tonight's game.

"I was just achy," said Allen, who added that he is feeling a lot better tonight. "I was runny and congested at the same time.

Allen did not play in Boston's 94-86 win over New Jersey on Wednesday. The C's practiced the following day, but Rivers instructed Allen to stay home.His return will strengthen a Celtics squad that's aiming for its fifth consecutive win tonight. It also bolsters the second unit with his replacement, Keyon Dooling, returning to his role as a combo guard off the bench.Allen participated in the Celtics' morning shoot-around, and was on the TD Garden floor three-plus hours before tip-off - a normal routine for the veteran.In six games this season, Allen is averaging a team-high 20 points while shooting 56.5 percent from the field and 61.1 percent from 3-point range.
