Perkins gets Heat heated

When the Boston Celtics beat the Miami Heat by 19 points on Sunday at TD Garden, the aftermath was drama-free.

LeBron James gave the Cs credit for a good ol fashion you-know-what, members of the Heat praised Avery Bradley, and both sides moved on.

But the same couldnt be said just three days later following the Heats five-point win against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Miami. It was a former Celtic who stayed on the mind of the Heat after the game.

Kendrick Perkins was whistled for a technical foul against Dwyane Wade, his 12th of the season. Udonis Haslem has faced Perkins numerous times in the regular and postseason during Perkins years with the Celtics. On Thursday morning, he shared his thoughts on the big man with WQAM, as reported by the South Florida Sun-Sentinel:

"I think sometimes people just use the TVs and the cameras and the crowd, you know, to put on a show," Haslem said of Perkins. "I don't think he's all that he shows out there on the court.

"I think anybody can be a tough guy with a thousand people watching on TV and referees who call fouls and stop the game and different things like that. I don't seeing him being any tough guy that he puts on the show to be, at all."

Haslem didn't stop there.

"If we were playing at the park, I don't think he'd be doing all that," Haslem said.

A rematch may have to wait until next season. Since the Heat and Thunder wrapped up their regular season series on Sunday, the only way they would face off again would be if both teams made it to the NBA Finals.

Or, if they decide to go to the park.
