BOSTON — The war of words between the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks took yet another unexpected turn with an Instagram posting by Carmelo Anthony's wife, La La Vazquez.

The Instagram message had bold, big lettered text that read, "Strong Women only Intimidate weak men."

And in her message line, she wrote, "Try again. You on the bench for a reason."

The comments by Vazquez came a day after Crawford and Anthony exchanged words following Boston's 92-86 Game 5 win at Madison Square Garden.

It is unclear exactly what Crawford said, however he told the Boston Globe that, "they (Knicks) was talking to me, baby. They was talking to me. Yeah, they like me. I think it’s that smile I keep carrying. I think we’re playing freely, not thinking as much.”

Anthony addressed the matter moments after the Knicks' loss.

"I’m not thinking about no Jordan Crawford," Anthony told reporters. I don’t even think he deserves for you to be typing (his name) right now."

Crawford took to Twitter on Thursday, denying that he "talked trash" about Vazquez.
