Celtics first-round pick Kelly Olynyk has made a strong first impression so far in Summer League.
So far, Olynyk has averaged 19.5 points and eight rebounds, and is making his case to be a key contributor to a rebuilding Celtics team next season.
However, what do these numbers really mean in just Summer League play?
Former Celtic Walter McCarty joined Gary Tanguay and Michael Felger to answer that very question.
"I think it just really gives a coach a feel of what they're getting, where to put this guy in the offense and what kind of situations to put him in," McCarty said of Olynyk. "But this guy has a lot of talent, I love what I'm seeing, and people forget when this kid grew up he was a point guard in high school, so obviously you see he's seven feet now, but you still see he has those skills."
