Celtics rookie Marcus Smart recently sat down with CSNNE's A. Sherrod Blakely up in Maine.

The two talked in length about Smart's upcoming season, and playing (while still competing) with Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo.

While Smart obviously wants to be on the court, he knows that he's going to have to pay his dues first.

"Everybody wants to play," Smart said. "But it's just a matter of time. You have to pick and choose, you have to wait your time. You just can't come here right away and jump in; you have to earn it. And that's what I'm looking to do, just go in there and earn everything that's given to me."

The two also discussed Smart's leadership skills, his time with the USA Select Team, potentially being a future Olympian, the Seeds of Peace program, and more.
