The Boston Celtics NBA Development League affiliate, the Maine Red Claws, have acquired former C’s guard Gabe Pruitt from the Sioux Falls Skyforce in exchange for James May.
Pruitt was a member of the 2008 championship team during his rookie year and also played his sophomore season with the Celtics. He averaged 2.0 points, 0.8 assists, and 0.8 rebounds in 7.4 minutes per game in Boston.
Pruitt, now 26, has played for the Los Angeles D-Fenders, Utah Flash and, most recently, the Skyforce of the D-League. This season he has averaged 6.5 points and 2.6 rebounds per game.
The Celtics selected Pruitt with the 32nd pick in the 2007 NBA Draft.
