WALTHAM, Mass. — Courtney Lee was able to participate in the Celtics' morning shoot-around on Friday, but he's still being listed as a game-time decision as to whether he'll play Friday night against the Atlanta Hawks.

Lee sustained a sprained left ankle injury in the fourth quarter of the 110-106 loss at Memphis last Saturday. Both the Celtics and Lee were optimistic that the injury would not result in any lost games.

However, it had not healed as quickly as either would have liked, resulting in the 6-foot-5 guard/forward missing the last two games.

Lee's return comes at a time when the Celtics could use as many healthy bodies as possible as they fight to secure as high a playoff seeding as possible.

"He's somebody that we've relied upon," Celtics Jason Terry told CSNNE.com. "He's one of our defensive stoppers. He has an energy, a presence about him that's infectious throughout the whole team."
