If the Celtics are still interested in injured big man Joel Embiid as A. Sherrod Blakely reports, the feeling may be mutual on Embiid's side.

According to ESPN's Bill Simmons, Embiid's agent Arn Tellem is going to "push hard" to get Embiid to either the Celtics or Lakers, if he can't get drafted No. 1 overall.

Embiid is scheduled for surgery on his right foot Friday after a stress fracture was found.

The injury could turn teams off to Embiid, who has already dealt with a stress fracture in his back earlier this year.

The label "injury prone" is certainly not something you want attached to yourself as you enter the NBA Draft. But the C's gambled on both Avery Bradley and Jared Sullinger and both of those players look to be solid picks for Boston.

It shouldn't come as a surprise to see that Tellem wants his client in a bigger market. Sorry, Utah. Also, the Celtics have some of the best team doctors in the NBA, and it sounds like Embiid may need them . . .

Here's one other interesting note from NBC's ProBasketballTalk. If Embiid does in fact slip to the C's at No. 6, it'll be one very costly slip. $10,018,983 to be exact. That's the difference in money Embiid makes if he goes from the projected No. 1 pick to No. 6.
