Jerryd Bayless is the newest member of the Celtics after he was acquired from Memphis in exchange for Courtney Lee and a 2016 second-round pick.

But who is Jerryd Bayless?

We'll get to know him better in the coming weeks, but for now here's a quick glimpse of the 6-foot-3 guard.

Did you know ...

* His highest scoring game in each of the last two seasons came against the Celtics. He had 22 points earlier this season in a Grizzlies win over Boston, and last season he lit Boston up for a season-high 30 points in another Memphis victory.

* This will be Bayless' fifth team in six NBA seasons.

* He was MVP of the 2008 Las Vegas Summer League when he averaged 29.8 points per game.

* In 2007, he became the first freshman at Arizona to lead the team in scoring since Sean Elliott did so in 1986.

* When he left Arizona, his heir apparent at the point was supposed to be current Detroit Pistons guard Brandon Jennings. However, Jennings opted to instead play overseas in Italy out of high school and was later drafted by Milwaukee with the 10th overall pick in the 2009 draft -- one spot higher than Bayless was selected the previous year.
