The C's don't seem sold on Rondo, but can't get what they want for him. Hmm...

A better question would be, "Which team haven't the Celtics shopped Rondo around to?"

It's another season, and another trade deadline filled with Rondo trade rumors.

Whether it's the Knicks, Raptors, Celtics, or Globetotters, Rondo could be wearing a new jersey at any moment it seems.

But here's the thing, these rumors always come and go, and Rondo is still wearing Green and White. Why?

Chris Gasper has his reason on today's Early Edition.

"Well because the Celtics are not committed to him as a franchise player because they're trying to figure out who he is and what he is as a player," Gasper said. "I think they look at it and say, 'Can you build a championship team with this guy as your best player?' No, otherwise we wouldn't hear his name in these trade rumors all the time."

The Celtics may or may not want to trade Rondo. What we know is this: They value him more than other teams do.

"The market for Rondo is not what the Celtics want it to be," Gasper said. "And that's why you always hear his name because they're chumming through the water trying to get the maximum value on him and trying to get a good deal, and it's not going to happen. He's worth more to them."

"I think he's here after the NBA trade deadline, they're not going to get max value for him," Gasper said. "I think at the NBA draft he's gone, I think he gets dealt."
