WALTHAM, Mass. — Kevin Garnett did not participate in the Celtics' Monday morning shoot-around, but his availability for tonight's game against the Miami Heat still remains up in the air.

A left adductor strain injury kept Garnett out of Saturday's win over Charlotte and the C's practice on Sunday.

On Sunday, C's coach Doc Rivers said Garnett's chances of playing tonight were "50/50 at best."

A similar injury suffered by Dirk Nowitzki earlier this season sidelined him for two games.

If Garnett is unable to play, the Celtics will start Jeff Green.

In three starts this season, Green has averaged 18.3 points, five rebounds and three assists -- all better than his season average in those respective categories. In his first start of the season against Phoenix on Feb. 22, Green had a season-high 31  points in leading the Cs to a 113-88 win.
