The fiasco has ended, as well as an era.
After nine seasons, Doc Rivers has left the Celtics for the Los Angeles Clippers. With his departure, another chapter in Celtics history, where the Green won one NBA championship and came within one game of another, has ended.
The multi-million dollar question: what caused Doc to leave the Celtics to go coach the Clippers?
It has been reported that the primary reason Doc wanted to leave Boston was because of point guard Rajon Rondo, whom he had a rocky relationship, and nearly came to blows with this past season according to NBA writer Chris Sheridan.
“Doc’s done a pretty good job of pulling the wool over everyone’s eyes on how difficult it is to coach Rajon Rondo,” said Sheridan, “and stories have come out that there have been locker room blowups.”
