If the Boston Celtics have their way, Brad Stevens' first technical foul will be wiped out very soon.

CSNNE.com has learned that the Celtics plan to appeal the technical foul and subsequent ejection given to Stevens near the end of Saturday's loss to the Sacramento Kings.

The technical foul comes with $2,000 fine.

With 35.7 seconds to play, Stevens was given ejected after being whistled for a technical foul by official Marc Davis.

After saying his good-byes from the Celtics bench to his Kings coach Mike Malone, Stevens left the court amid team security.

Following the game, Stevens had little to say on the matter and remained mum when asked by reporters prior to Monday's game against Utah.

This season, coaches have been whistled for 102 technical fouls, with only two having been rescinded upon league review.
