Believe it or not, Summer League play begins Sunday. And the Celtics announced the roster they'll be taking with them to Orlando to begin the five-game slate.
Included on the roster, as expected, are 2013 draft picks Kelly Olynyk and Colton Iverson -- as well as undrafted free agents Phil Pressey and Omar Reed -- along with last year's first-round choice Fab Melo.
The Celtics also added Nolan Smith and Darius Johnson-Odom, who were waived by the Trail Blazers and Lakers, respectively. They'll be joined by 2013 NBA D-League Rookie of the Year Tony Mitchell, and five players who played in Europe in Tim Abromaitis, Courtney Fells, Jayson Granger, Lawrence Hill and Eli Holman.
The C's kick off Summer League play against the Magic Sunday at 11 a.m., followed by a game against the Pistons Monday at 3 p.m. The Celtics play again on Tuesday with an 11 a.m. matchup with the Pacers, followed the next day at 3 p.m. against the Rockets.
The Celtics close out their 2013 slate July 12 with the time and opponent to be determined.
