The Celtics officially completed their trade with the Nets last Friday, and the players coming to Boston - Kris Humphries, Gerald Wallace, & Marshon Brooks - will be introduced as members of the C's on Monday.
Sports Illustrated's Ian Thomsen joined Mike Felger on Sports Sunday to discuss the state of the Celtics currently, and what the C's could do from here.
Thomsen thinks that Humphries might be on the team until the trade deadline, but Wallace could be on the move sooner.
"Gerald Wallace they have to move. It doesn't make sense," Thomsen said. "To me, the move is to try to get Detroit to take Rondo and Gerald Wallace and get Brandon Knight and Andre Drummond. They have cap space so they don't have to send you back the same amount of money. Then you're really bad, and you're not tanking. You're developing players, you're collecting assets. Just like he did when no one was accusing him of tanking a few years ago right before the Garnett [trade]."
Felger is completely on board with Thomsen's way of thinking, and the two eventually discuss Rondo's future with the C's and if he's a better fit for the Pistons situation right now.
