The Celtics were less than a month removed from one of the worst losing streaks in NBA history, and while they did have Paul Pierce in the line-up, this was still a very bad team.

Although, not so bad for KG's Timberwolves, who fell to Boston by seven in two OTs.
You know what? I'd like to rescind my introduction to this post. This isn't a just a reminder of how bad things were for KG before coming to Boston, it's also reminder of how bad things were for KG AND Pierce before KG came to Boston. Good lord, look at these rosters

Although, I guess when you look at it now, at least the Celtics had youth and potential, the Wolves had nothing except for KG, who was still playing his ass of every night.
On this particular evening, he had himself a triple double (33 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists). It's one of two triple doubles Garnett collected against the Celtics that season (the only two he ever dropped on the Celtics.)
