BOSTON — Every NBA player has that one team that for whatever reason, tends to bring out their best.

For Jared Sullinger, that would be tonight's opponent, the New York Knicks.

A 13 points per game scorer this season, Sullinger has averaged 16 against New York which is his best scoring average against any team he has faced at least three times this season.

The 6-foot-9 burly forward is also working to become an all-around scoring threat, although he's at his best around the basket where he's averaging a team-best 3.4 offensive rebounds per game which ranks sixth in the NBA this season.

Sullinger's strong presence around the basket has come in handy against New York, especially when it comes to scoring the basketball.

Against the Knicks this season, Sullinger is shooting a red-hot 72.7 percent a game while he connected on just 49.4 percent of his shots against teams not called the New York Knicks.

But Sullinger has shown an understanding for the need to mix things up as well.

While the sample size is rather small, Sullinger has made two of the five threes he has taken against New York.

Small sample or not, that's a far cry from his season average of 23.8 percent from three-point range.
