BOSTON — There's always a bit of uncertainty when it comes to the NBA draft, but it's rare for the top portion to be as unsettled as it is now.

Nerlens Noel.

Alex Len.

Ben McLemore.

All three have found their way to the top of mock drafts with no true consensus No. 1 overall pick.

And as you continue to go through the draft, you find this is a trend throughout.

"It sounds cliche, but there really isn't going to be that much of a difference in the top 10 players in the draft, from the next 10," said an NBA scout. "The parity is unusually high this year."

That should bode well for teams like the Boston Celtics who currently have the No. 16 pick in tonight's NBA draft.

With so little separation throughout, there's a very good chance that the player Boston picks will be as good as those chosen earlier.

"They'll get a good player at 16; if they keep the pick," the scout said. "The only guy in this draft that you can kind of envision now as a potential all-star type is Ben McLemore. But other than that, there's a lot of good but not franchise-type players."

That said, here's a final mock draft of the first round which includes the Celtics' possible selection at No. 16.
