BOSTON - It was double the pleasure for Brandon Bass on Sunday.

Not only did his Celtics team get the win, but they got it over his former team and good friend Glen Davis.

And on top of that, Bass was pretty instrumental in the win, finishing the game with 19 points and nine rebounds - including two big jump shots and a block in the final minutes of the game.

So, does the win against his buddy Big Baby feel a little better?

"All the time man," he said.

It's all in good fun, though. While Bass and Davis are competitors on the court, they don't let it carry over off the court - well, the trash talk may carry over.

"I guess because when we're done playing and we're at the local gym, we can talk noise to each other," Bass said. "So it feels good. Just to talk noise when we're done playing. But I wish him the best and I know he wishes me the best."

Bass grew up with Davis in Louisiana and actually has stories of the two sleeping over each other's houses as kids. Bass played two seasons in Orlando before being traded for Davis - which is yet another connection the two now have.

"Yeah I enjoyed my time there in Orlando," Bass said. "I have a home there. So it was fun to play there and it's fun to play against them."

Bass may have a little extra trash talk for Davis if Davis is slapped with a warning for what looked to be a flop in the 4th quarter, of which Bass was called for the foul.

I lightheartedly asked Bass after the game if Davis did flop. He laughed.

"Did he flop? He played here for about four years. Y'all know what he do," he said, smiling.
