John Tortorella better hope Capitals head coach Adam Oates stays away from his old stomping grounds in Boston for the next week or so.

Oates, who played over five seasons with the Bruins, is now head coach of the Washington Capitals. They were eliminated by Tortorella's Rangers in the opening round of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs in seven games on Sunday.

The series didn't end quietly though, as members of the Caps - including star Alex Ovechkin - were vocal about the way certain calls were made in the series, and blamed some of their misfortune on officiating.

Tortorella had about enough of that, and told reporters on Tuesday, “We’ve got everybody and their brother whining out there in Washington about what happened in the series. And I think that’s a big reason they lose that series."

When Oates got news of what Torts said, he obviously wasn't happy. Speaking on 106.7 The Fan in Washington D.C., Oates denied anybody on the Caps ever complaining during the series until after Game 7.

Then, Oates was asked whether or not he would beat up Tortorella in a one-on-on situation.

"Yes. Easily," he said matter-of-factly.

Ooooooooo! Fight! Fight! Fight!
