Shawn Thornton has won two Stanley Cup titles in his career, including one with the Bruins in 2011.
Now he's going for a third as the B's advanced to the Stanley Cup Finals with a 1-0 win over the Penguins Friday night. While nothing may beat winning it that first time, Thornton's desire to lift that Cup over his head again hasn't deflated one bit, as he told Michael Felger and Tony Amonte in an exclusive interview on Postgame Live.
"Some people say once you've had it once you have that sense of accomplishment, but being there a couple times you know it's the greatest moment of your life," Thornton said. "All you want is to drink out of that thing again. That's where my head's at, and I think everyone in that room's the same way. For the most part we've all touched it before and we wanna touch it again cause there's nothing better."
Will the Bruins get to drink from the Cup again this year?
