With Greg Campbell sidelined for the duration of the playoffs with a broken leg suffered when blocking an Evgeni Malkin shot, the million dollar question has made the rounds – how will the Bruins replace the Merlot Line’s center-man?
There are three players being considered to take Campbell’s spot on the roster – Kaspars Daugavins, Jay Pandolfo, and Carl Soderberg. One of the three will be plugged into the lineup somewhere in Claude Julien’s bottom-six (the player activated from the Taxi Squad could be bumped up to the third line in lieu of Rich Peverley). But which one will it be?
“I think you put Daugavins in the lineup,” said Kevin Paul Dupont on UNO Sports Tonight. “The realistic options are Daugavins, Pandolfo, I don’t think Soderberg is a realistic option, even though he’s a center, just because he hasn’t been here long enough.”
