Tuukka Rask got paid like an elite goaltender Wednesday, agreeing to an eight year, $56 million deal with the Bruins coming off a strong showing in the playoffs in which he guided the B's to the Stanley Cup Final.
But where exactly does Rask rank among the NHL's elite?
Marc Bertrand discussed that with Gary Tanguay and Michael Felger on UNO Sports Tonight, and put Rask right at near the top with other current star goalies. However, it wasn't enough to convince Bertrand that Rask is worth an eight year deal.
"Yes he is (elite), but that doesn't mean that every eight year contract is a good one, even for the elites," Bertrand said.
